lifeIMAGE announced that senior healthcare IT executives are still joining the company. The executives are interested in the rapid adoption of lifeIMAGE’s diagnostic imaging e-sharing platform by several high-leveled hospitals in the US. lifeIMAGE has recently appointed John Esposito, John Ciancarelli and David Wilkins in leading positions in sales, information technology and product management/development. The company aims to improve its quality with the expertise of such healthcare professionals.

Esposito was appointed as the first vice president of sales at lifeIMAGE. He has more than 24 years of experience as a healthcare IT professional. His last position was serving as vice president of sales for the radiology business at AMICAS. Esposito will be responsible for securing new installations and identification of specialty practice clinical entry points for lifeIMAGE’s e-sharing platform. He will also manage the further adoption of the e-sharing platform at the currently installed sites. When Esposito was serving at AMICAS, the company’s customers increased from only 20 to reach more than 1000. The revenues were elevated from $1 million to more than $100 million.

On the other hand, Ciancarelli, the new vice president of information technology at lifeIMAGE, has more than 20 years of experience in Healthcare IT. His experience will be deployed for building customer-facing technology, delivering new solutions that are going to allow lifeIMAGE to provide support the increasing image sharing requirements of healthcare facilities, scale infrastructure and strengthen lifeIMAGE’s technical mastery in this rapidly-progressing industry. Ciancarelli joins lifeIMAGE after serving at Softscape, a leading human resources application provider, were he supervised the operation and management of SAS70 certified data centers on multiple continents. Ciancarelli was previously serving as the director of IT for AMICAS; he oversaw the company’s beginning from its start-up phase until it became a leading company in the PACS industry. He also moved into senior healthcare IT positions in several locations, at HealthGate Data Corp. and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Wilkins, who is going to serve at lifeIMAGE as director of product management, will use his product visualization experience to improve and extend lifeIMAGE product roadmap. This will be carried out by optimizing the use for image-intensive specialty practices. The previous position Wilkins joins lifeIMAGE coming from AMICAS, where he served for 7 years to develop and design diagnostic imaging software that concentrated on visualization and workflow. Wilkins was the product architect of AMICAS’ Next Generation PACS Workstation. Wilkins has 25-years of experience that came from holding positions at Adobe, Hewlett-Packard and IBM.
