This is a step by step online course on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the knee joint starting with normal anatomical appearance and ending with different pathological findings. This online course in MRI is dedicated to resident radiologists and physicians interested in radiological information. We aim to familiarize radiologist and physicians with the MR images and their clinical applications.
MRI of the Knee Joint: Part 1
In the first part of the online MRI of the knee joint lecture, we would start by reviewing normal anatomy of the knee through illustrated diagrams with description of each structure location and its relation to surrounding structures to get our readers familiar with the gross anatomical picture before moving forward with the radiological images of the MRI.
MRI of the Knee Joint: Part 2
In the second part of the online MRI of the knee joint course, we would apply the reviewed normal anatomy in the first lecture on a full series of sagittal MR images including three different pulse sequences to get our readers familiar with MR films that might be seen during practice. Post description quiz is added for personal evaluation.
MRI of the Knee Joint: Part 3
In the third part of the online MRI of the knee joint training course, we continue applying the normal anatomy reviewed in the first lecture on full series of coronal and axial MR images with full revision of different MR sequences and best location to assess each structure within the knee joint before moving forward with different pathological conditions in the following lectures.
MRI of the Knee Joint: Part 4
After we have revised the normal anatomical structure of the knee, in the fourth part of the online MRI of the knee joint course, we would start describing different pathological conditions involving the internal structure of the knee. Starting with the menisci and propagating in systematic way, we would describe the common related pathologies with multiple examples.
