Carestream Health, a step forward in Netherland

During the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) meeting in Vienna, Carestream Health presented a long term CareStreamagreement for digital imaging services with Stichting Samenwerkende Ziekenhuizen Oost Groningen (SSZOG) a collaboration foundation between three hospitals of east Groningen in the Netherlands. Upon this agreement, Carestream will provide its new eHealth PACS Services to the three hospitals in Netherland. These hospitals are currently using three different PACS systems and Carestream is to apply one PACS system and one RIS to be used in these hospitals during 2010. While Carestream's  Fryslan Data Centre in Leeuwarden will present secure, remote imaging and archiving. The data center is one of eight centers managed by Carestream in five countries through Europe and America.

eHealth PACS Services is the latest product in Carestream's eHealth Managed Services products. These products also include data protection and archiving services. Patrick Koch, worldwide business director, eHealth Managed Services, Carestream Health said: "This type of service offers the benefits of a predictable total cost of ownership with no hidden costs, guaranteed availability of data and tools with no system or data management requirements,". Carestream Health was named 'medical imaging company of the year' recently by Frost and Sullivan analysts. Frost and Sullivan give awards to companies that provide "demonstrated unparalleled excellence within [their] industry", putting in mind several factors such as business development, customer satisfaction, competitive strategy and leadership within a particular field.
