FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a major provider of diagnostic imaging products, announced that it will demonstrate Synapse® Mobility, its zero footprint mobile application enabling remote access to Fujifilm's suite of Synapse products from mobile devices, as well as Macintosh- or windows-based PCs. Synapse Mobility will be among the complete line-up of Synapse products from Fujifilm demonstrated at the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2011 Annual Conference and Exhibition.
Thanks to Synapse Mobility, radiologists and referring physicians will be able to access the images and data stored in Synapse® PACS, Synapse® RIS and Synapse® Cardiovascular using their desired browser. The medical staff at Columbus-based, Ohio Health conducted a clinical evaluation of Synapse Mobility and noted the numerous benefits it has to offer, especially the busy departments within its multiple hospitals and clinics.
Dr. Mrunal Shah, Vice President, Physician Technology Services at Ohio Health, said "During our evaluation, Synapse Mobility provided our physicians with instant access to patient information using iPads and other hand-held devices, allowing for faster decision making and improved patient care.". Synapse Mobility can be used with various platforms including iPads, iPhones and Android Smartphones. The solution offers its users advanced 3D image viewing abilities, as well as the ability to zoom, window and level and use MIP/MPR, just as they would do at a clinical workstation.
