Alert, a healthcare IT solutions provider from Portugal, announced that it has finished its first installation in the United States, following the implementation of its Alert Clinic solution in the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC). The Consortium is now the first healthcare organization in the U.S to use Alert Clinic software solution at its Ethel Lund Medical Center, in Juneau, Alaska.
Alert Clinic and SEARHC.
Alert Clinic offers electronic health records (EHR) for nearly 21,000 patients, who attend the Ethel Lund Medical Center annually to have healthcare services from its outpatient facilitates. The Ethel Lund Medical Center is the first SEARHC facility to start using the innovative Alert’s electronic health record solution for all its patients. Following the implementation of Alert Clinic, every patient going to the Ethel Lund Medical Center will have his/her medical record accessed by staff to review data such as lab tests results, diagnostic imaging files, and the prescribed medication. Ethel Lund Medical Center offers healthcare services including family medicine, physical therapy, optometry, behavioral health, disease prevention, nutrition, wellness, and specialty medicine. SEARHC plans to complete installing Alert Clinic across all its facilities by 2011. The solution has been implemented in seven countries in Europe, Asia and South America.
