Three systems including two MR and a single CT rated excellent for customer satisfaction

The MAGNETOM® Aera, MAGNETOM Skyra and SOMATOM® Definition Flash from Siemens Healthcare have been recognized with the prestigious 2012 ‘Best in KLAS’ award by independent healthcare research organization, KLAS. Winners of the award are said to be those who have gone above and beyond their customers’ expectations, helping the industry easily identify which vendors are consistently performing well.

The Best in KLAS awards are based on data from customers who provide feedback on medical equipment derived from overall satisfaction, product reliability, functionality, customer service and over twenty other categories. The awards highlight vendors with top performance scores in their respective healthcare technology segments. The entire report covering all the various segments considered for Best in KLAS includes a total of 3,765 provider evaluations including interviews with hospital and clinic executives, administrators, physicians, nurses, clinicians, directors and managers interacting with healthcare equipment and infrastructure solutions.

The MAGNETOM Aera received the award for the Magnetic Resonance 1.5T category and the MAGNETOM Skyra for the Magnetic Resonance 3.0T group. Both systems feature a large Open Bore design to accommodate a variety of patient sizes and Tim® 4G (Total imaging matrix) and Dot™ (Day optimising throughput) technologies for excellent image quality.

The SOMATOM Definition Flash reached the highest score in the category ‘Satisfaction with Product Uptime’ and received a 100 percent positive response from customers being asked ‘Would you buy from this vendor again?’ The Dual Source CT system is equipped with two tubes and two detectors, providing unrivalled temporal resolution and the ability to reduce dose values down to one millisievert or less.

“We are delighted that multiple Siemens imaging systems have been awarded a Best in KLAS award, demonstrating the importance of listening to customers’ needs and concerns,” said Russell Lodge, CT Business Manager at Siemens Healthcare. “The Definition Flash continues to set the gold standard for CT, providing rapid imaging at the lowest possible dose. We are proud to be able to offer our customers innovative imaging services that make the difference in daily clinical practice to patients.”

“The MAGNETOM Aera and Skyra are state-of-the-art MR systems that combine excellent imaging quality, ease of use and patient comfort with a wide bore,” states Jane Kilkenny, MRI Business Manager at Siemens Healthcare. “Many of our customers are benefiting from workflow efficiencies, boosted by the use of Tim 4G and Dot technology. We are glad to have been rated excellent for customer satisfaction and look forward to continuing to build on this into the future.”
