Stack Display
On PACS view stations, stack display is a feature used to review cross-sectional images such as those generated by MRI and CT systems. Stack display entails displaying the images in rapid sequence, creating a flip-book effect. This assists a physician in creating a mental (but not actual) 3-D reconstruction of the imaged anatomy. A view station’s stack display feature should be configurable both for speed and direction. The ability to link stacks from different series for simultaneous scrolling should also be available. |
