PACS news (July 17, 2012 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada) RamSoft, a developer of industry-leading RIS, PACS and Teleradiology Services, today announced that Konica Minolta Medical South Africa (KMMSA), a subsidiary of the Bidvest Group of companies, has signed on to distribute RamSoft’s radiology workflow solutions in South Africa.

As RamSoft continues its expansion into international markets, it’s seeking partners that can provide local sales and service support to its clients. KMMSA was an excellent fit. As an importer and distributor of the Konica Minolta range of radiology equipment, the company has the necessary knowledge of the local radiology market in addition to service and support capabilities.

According to Juneid Docrat, General Manager of KMMSA, RamSoft’s established reputation within the radiology field and its fully customizable and robust range of radiology IT solutions were the major motivating factors in KMMSA’s decision to pursue a mutual partnership.

KMMSA was looking for a partner that would allow us to expand our offering in South Africa from a software perspective. After researching the marketplace, we found that the scalable, adaptable RamSoft workflow solutions were the ideal match for us from a functionality point of view, allowing KMMSA to provide an unparalleled solution to local radiology practices,” says Juneid Docrat, General Manager of KMMSA. “We also believe that RamSoft provides its customers with the same quality of service as KMMSA, another important factor in our decision,” he adds.

RamSoft’s PowerServer RIS, PACS and Teleradiology solutions are web-based solutions built on a single database. Each product boasts specialized features to streamline every aspect of the radiology workflow from patient scheduling to a complete diagnostic viewer, mammography support, reporting and transcription plus management reporting. RamSoft’s Gateway Router and Viewers are single-license solutions used for routing images and providing diagnostic workstations for medical clinics that require a stand-alone solution.

“As RamSoft continues its expansion worldwide, finding the right partner in South Africa was important to us. KMMSA shares a similar vision as our company and we’re looking forward to installing and implementing our solutions in that region,” says Sales and Marketing Director Marilyn Solano.
