In a study by Jordanian Cardiologists Association, 75 per cent of Jordanians, who are hospitalized for heart attacks, are diabetic.
After modelling 670 patients, the study revealed that cardiovascular disease is the first reason for more Jordanians' deaths.
According to the study, smoking followed by diabetes and high blood pressure, is the first reason for heart attacks among Jordanian men. While they can see that the first reason for heart attacks among women is diabetes, followed by high blood pressure and smoking.
The study recommended regular tests for diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol, in order to keep healthy and prevent health risk.
