56 year old male with exertional dys pnea and marked ascites
Constrictive Pericarditis

  • Causes: Idiopathic, viral, TB, traumatic, uremia, neoplasm
  • Fibrous thickening of the pericardium thickening> 2mm on CT
  • 50% present with calcification
Curvilinear calcification surrounding the heart
Diminished contractility and pericardial effusion
